Morning ski at Cleary didn't disappoint, the groomer was just finishing when I started. Skate deck was nice and firm and classic track was good, minus the oak leaf litter.

Fantastic conditions at Cleary today and barely anybody out there. The skate deck had some scattered debris but I still had no issues on my good skis and wasn't concerned as the sticks were easy to dodge and the rest of the debris was just leaves. The grooming was fantastic and the deck was firm and fast.

The perimeter trails were in excellent condition. Rolled this morning so lots of corduroy. It was 22 degrees and sunny. I used FastWax Blue LF, which was slow in the shaded, particularly earlier sections of the trail with its drier snow but moved alright in the sunnier portions I was nevertheless able to skate nonstop until the climb at the start of Ironwood which I walked as well as a couple of the following uphills.

Cleary was freshly tracked and packed this morning. Very firm skate deck. Nicely cut track free of leaves and debris. Possibly the best conditions out there in 10 years!

My first time at Cleary Lake today; the trails were exactly what you'd expect after a fresh snow. Absolutely gorgeous but very very soft. The classic track looked fair from what I could tell and there were a few classic skiers out who told me it was reasonably good today considering the fresh snow. The skate deck was very soft and my poles had a hard time finding any grip with the new snow, but very little debris and the trail was still skiable.

Much better than expected after yesterday's rain. Soft snow but not super slow. Half of the trails have been groomed. Some debris and deer tracks on the trails.

The perimeter trails were in very good condition - hard packed but generally no problem getting bite. It was about 37 degrees and partly sunny. Snow conditions varied from cold and dry to totally corned depending on the sun exposure. Slightly glazed was the fastest while the totally corned was the slowest - not a problem except at the end of the run out from the steep downhill after the right angle, eastern turn on lower Ironwood. Just as I hit the little uphill at the start of the first wooded section at the end of the runout, I suffered a sudden deacceleration as I hit a short section of corned snow. Stayed upright and didn't pull anything so all was good. I used FastWax Yellow LF.

Fresh grooming, as good and fast as it gets. Lower Ironwood just like the olden days. Tracks looked good with washouts on the usual corners, minor debris.

Fast skate deck with ice in snow from last night's freezing rain. No problem getting edge though in corduroy from grooming. Some leaves and twigs on skate deck from snow falling from trees with warmer temps. Good snow coverage, cattails covered up on Lower Ironwood trail. Classic track looked somewhat glazed.
