Afternoon
Firsthand: Classic
[ Good skis ]
Conditions: Very good conditions on Onion River Road Trail, other trails opening.
Classic skied first part of Onion River Road Trail. Most intersecting trails were packed but not groomed - It appeared that some skaters were able to use them anyways. But I did find that a return trail was tracked and in good condition (so I was able to ski from parking to points W-X-M-L and back to parking).

Firsthand: Classic
[ Good skis ]
Conditions: Good, especially on the groomed parts.
We skied from the Britten Peak parking lot on all the trails that were groomed. The first set of loops from the parking lot had nice corduroy with a classic track set. The sides of skate deck were a little soft, so we switched to classic skis and did the Hogback Loop. The north side of that has not been groomed since the last snow, and there are many dangerous rivulets that have washed out the trail. The south half of the loop was groomed for skating and was very nice. Plenty of snow. Another grooming and the snow deck should be firmer.

Afternoon
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ B skis ]
Conditions: Excellent conditions on Onion River Road.
Onion River Road is groomed and in good shape. There was about 1.5" of fresh snow on top of a firm deck and the tracks were in solid shape for others in our group. The trail is about 5.5K one direction. The surrounding trails have drooping trees from the heavy snow and will need some brushing and perhaps a bit more snow to open them up.

Afternoon
Firsthand: Classic
[ B skis ]
Conditions: Good snow on Onion River Road.
Classic skied starting by going through the wooded trail, then over to the road and up and down it. The wooded trail looks like it might have been rolled but was wet with some puddles to avoid in about 4 places. The road had nice classic tracks and although soft with temp about 35, very enjoyable first ski.

Morning
Firsthand: Classic Secondhand
[ Good skis ]
Conditions: Excellent grooming on the Onion River road. Thank you groomers.
Only the Onion River Road was groomed. No bare spots or rocks. Used good skis. I classic skied. Tracks were deep set. I heard the other trails were not groomed yet due to heavy wet snow and ice bending trees and brush onto the trails.
