Afternoon
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Good skis ]
Only the half mile man-made loop open for skiing. There is a decent base on that loop. Enjoyed the Birkie training.

Night
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Trails Open: Partial, Good skis ]
The 0.7 kilometers loop of manmade snow is in decent condition. No issues with debris as the trail is all in the open. Regular grooming may help break up the hard packed surface. There is a classic track.

Observation
[ Trails Open: Partial ]
Only the small man made loop (.7K) is open. The groomer was just tilling it at noon and the surface is somewhat uneven and sugary.

[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Best skate skiing conditions this year. The warmer temperatures made for hard packed snow with good glide and edging. Good coverage with some thin spots on the big hill climb.

Night
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
The lighted loop was in awesome condition on Wednesday night. Full coverage throughout, but the erosion bars are starting to show on Two Tier. Enjoy it while it lasts.

Morning
Firsthand: Classic
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Classic tracks have been set throughout the system, to go along with the groomed and packed skate lane. Track and skate lane are a bit soft, as would be expected. Snowshoers did some damage to the upper trails, walking down the middle of the skate lane.

Afternoon
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ B skis ]
Overall Lapham was in very good condition today. It was firmer than I was expecting with all the fresh snow, and the trails were nicely "skied in". There are still a few rocks poking through in a couple places on the upper trails and the erosion bars on two-tier are still exposed. If you step carefully and avoid two-tier, you could use good skis. Get out and enjoy it while it's good!

Afternoon
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Trails Open: All, Rock skis ]
I skied the Lapham Loppet race course (blue loop, plus a little bit of the black loop and butterfly garden). The flat trails are overall in pretty good shape. However, lots of rocks are exposed on the steeper climbs. The climb up to the tower from the upper trails, gut buster, and two-tier are all in rather rough shape with lots of rocks and debris. Rock skis for sure, if you plan on skiing any of the bigger climbs.

Afternoon
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Rock skis ]
Skied the upper loop around the butterfly garden. No classic tracks set. The trail is uneven with a hard packed surface, with some rocks and grass showing. Well worth skiing on but probably difficult to push a fast pace because of the skiing surface.

Great skate skiing. Especially for first time out. Good job groomers. Bundle up! No classic tracks on the lit loop.
