Skate deck has hardened up and is in excellent condition except for some drifting in more exposed upper areas. Classic tracks looked great. A few spots with windblown debris easily avoidable.

Magney was glorious! It had been freshly groomed (except for Ely's Peak). The classic tracks were fun on the downhills! I regretted not bringing my classic skis. Enjoy!

We classic and skated Magney today at 11 am and despite what city website states about being groomed on Friday, the skate deck had fresh cord with only one set of deep skate markings throughout! Classic track were 99% debris free, firm and wider than normal. They have not been redone but the new dusting of snow in them made it slower. Pole plants were deep on the right. The right side had so many old deep pole plants that in many places it was frustrating poling, it was almost like footprints on that side. At the middle to end of the last long gradual downhill after the connector turn, the tracks stop and do not resume until well into the turn. Last time they came back right away but on the left side. Skate deck was in great shape... just a couple of spots with "surprise" dips and undulations at the bottom left side of a couple of the steeper, longer hills.

Great conditions for skating even at the very end of the day. Firm but not icy deck. Great glide. Beautiful trail. Great hills and views.

The conditions at Magney today were superb. The entire trail system was groomed on Friday. The classic tracks were deep, firm and fast. The skate deck appeared flat and firm as well. There was no debris on the trail. With fresh snow, recent grooming and temps in the 20's and Magney's great flow it would be hard to find any finer Nordic skiing.

Skate deck recently groomed but very soft and narrow. Some very deep pole plants. Occasional spots with dirty snow easily avoided. No classic tracks set. Some classic tracks partially skied in on inner loops, absent on outer loop.

Skied Sunday mid-day. Excellent conditions!! Great roller coaster hills, beautiful woods with sbow still clinging to the trees.

It was icy fast this morning with rocket tracks! You definitely needed to work on the step turns at the bottom of the downhills! The groomer was working on the skate deck as I finished which slowed the downhills (a good thing!) I struggled with kick wax (start Oslo purple). Enjoy!

Magney is still in great form. The skate deck is wonderful with a few spots with soft pole plants, but overall amazing.
