Morning
Firsthand: Classic
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Thanks Groomers! There were at least a half-dozen skiers in the 6 a.m. hour today, some with headlamps, some not. The classic track was excellent, and skiers were flying down the skate deck.

Evening
Firsthand: Classic
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
Skied in the dark with no lamp, and the classic tracks guided us the whole way with no issues. It was a calm night with few people skiing, skating and classicing. Great place to go for an after work ski to just get out there! Keep in mind the shelter is not open during the week.

Very good conditions for classic, with a couple of thin places. You can use your best skis, but look for the thin spots. Good grooming for classic, skate looked soft.

Afternoon
Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Groomed the skate deck and set classic tracks on the entire trail this afternoon. Trail was fairly soft today and should set up better by tomorrow. Best snow at Hiawatha in years!

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
We rolled the course for a second time tonight. We'll be out tomorrow again rolling in the drifted snow, hopefully setting classic tracks and grooming a separate walk, snowshoe and skijoring path on the inside or left of the ski trail.

SNOW!! So beautiful. Got out tonight and rolled the trail, but the snow was still falling and the wind was blowing. We are up rolling it again right now as the wind and snow is dying down. All trails are 100% snow covered, and at the moment we do not have classic tracks down. Stay tuned.
Grooming plans: We also plan to roll again early tomorrow morning.

Afternoon
Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
Great snow fell on Sunday but unfortunately got some blowing overnight. Rolled wide paths for skate skiing (on the right) plus one path for walking/snow shoeing (on the left). Did not drop classic tracks. Long stretches of great snow interrupted periodically with short stretches of grass poking out of the snow.

Afternoon
Grooming
[ Trails Open: Most, Rock skis ]
Hiawatha groomers rolled the course in the afternoon and again after dark. The open areas are windblown and variable between ice and grass. However, I was able to groom a 1k loop that has pretty much full coverage that starts at the top of the hill at the trailhead, goes down towards the creek, east along the fence and then a cutoff north towards the driving range and back up at the normal finish. This 1k loop was groomed and should be B-ski conditions. The remainder of Hiawatha is not advised. Enjoy!

Morning
Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
Groomed a wide skating track all around the golf course, including a cutoff for a short loop (just before the big willow) and a medium loop (to cut back to the driving range area). Small amount of grass or dirt exposed in a few areas, but generally good snow.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
Groomed the ski trail and the walking trail tonight. Some bare spots are out there, but they are infrequent. Tried to put down classic tracks but not enough snow. Full trail loop is open.
