Afternoon
Firsthand: Both
[ Trails Open: Most, Good skis ]
Skied the entire outer loop minus the swamp on the Sommers loop. Good skis, skate deck nice and firm. Classic track set but some grass showing in a few spots. Inner trails may be a bit rougher, but overall pretty solid. Also one of a handful of locations that Ski Hut (Duluth) will allow you to take rental skis.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: Most, B skis ]
Hidden Valley has a well packed base of snow that is thin in some places and icy in others but partially groomed for both classic and skate skiing over many miles of trails. Local skiers are using the area and enjoying the early snow. The forecast is for cold and a little light snow so skiing should be pretty good this weekend.
