Overnight the trail head received 1.5" fluffy new snow on top of the hard base. Groomers are blending this snow in with the Ginzu equipment all the way to Co Rd 510 on the Noque' Marathon race trail as well as Animoosh. The skate lanes should be very good. Beyond the 17k mark all the way to Co Rd 510 (24k mark) the snow was deep and the right type for ideal track setting. The new snow from the trail head at 10k to 17k was not enough to re-set the classic tracks very well so they have been left as is.

Groomed to 17k today. Last weekend's thaw left the surface hard. Classic tracks are thin but the skate lanes are very nice. Photo from Wednesday.

Five inches of lake effect snow fell yesterday. All trails to 17k mark are being rolled first this morning. Track will then be set but it may be mid-morning before you see classic tracks. Skate lane will be soft. It is nice to talk about too much snow in December.
