Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Overnight above freezing temperatures kept groomers parked again last night. The base remains in good shape with few exceptions. Trails below the Tourist Park are the most affected. From the Forestville trail head west you will find a very consistent base with few exceptions. Clouds and fog during the day combined with short January days kept the thaw form eating the base. Skate skiing has been quite good but skiers are encouraged to be conscious of the potential for soft trails. If the trails are too soft skis can cut through the base. Please don't damage the base if the trails get soft.

Firsthand: Both Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Skiing yesterday and Saturday were both "race ready". I got out skate skiing Saturday and classic Sunday. Rock solid skate lanes and pole plants and clean Bombi set classic tracks. This morning the groomers are cleaning up the skate lanes on all trails to 17k.

Bombi grooming on all trails from the Forestville Trail Head to County Road 510. We are getting the trail ready for the Noque' Marathon in two weeks. The trail is in race ready condition. The lower section has a better base than I have seen in at least 10 years. Enjoy.

Six inches of new snow yesterday have been Bombi groomed with race ready classic tracks on all trails inside 17k. In addition, groomers packed the Noque' race trail all the way to the Superior Dome in preparation for the marathon at month's end. This lower section has great snow cover this year. We will get classic tracks on that area as soon as time permits but it is great for skate skiing today all the way to the Dome.

Grooming

Trails inside 17k groomed this morning and trails between 17k and co rd 510 were groomed yesterday. Classic tracks were not re-set due to the cold dry snow being transformed. Tracks should still be quite good however.

Light overnight snow and light snow today. Groomers are cleaning the skate lanes on all trails inside 17k. Classic tracks are still in very good shape from the weekend so are not being reset. The section from 17k to 24k at Co Rd 510 was groomed yesterday and receives light traffic so should still be in very good shape.
