Notes

Very scenic with views of the Flambeau River and a heavily timbered landscape. Portions of the upper loop and cutoffs on the east side of the lower loop are more challenging. There is a three-sided shelter on the west side of the upper loop.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
All trails were groomed and tracked today. The northern section of the trail is in excellent condition! The southern section of the trail is in great condition for the most part, but there are still a few small rough patches here and there on the eastern portions. One more decent snowfall should take care of those.

I skate skied for a few hours at Flambeau Hills and the trails were well groomed, some debris here and there but overall great skiing! Classic track was set as well. Thanks groomers!

Grooming Scheduling
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
We are keeping trails rolled, so they are open for skate skiing. Weather pending, they will be groomed the first week of the new year. The eastern parts of the southern trail sections (Squirrel Tail and southbound Rim Creek) are relatively rough, so rock skis would probably be best. The northern trails (Snuss and Pelican) are in much better condition and have more snow, so B skis or good skis would be ok.
Scheduling: With snow in the forecast later this week, we will do our very best to roll trails on Saturday so they can be enjoyed over the holidays. Because we are having some equipment issues, we may not be able to roll them again until early next week, so we ask that you please be patient.
