Morning
Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
This morning, the ski trails were groomed for skating and tracked as well. The trails are in good to very good condition with a few icy spots. A new classic track was set but is shallow due to lack of snow. The trails have good coverage with a few undulations.

Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
The Spooner area recently received about three more inches of snow. On Saturday, the trails were groomed for skating and a new stride track was set. The trails offer good coverage with a few undulations. The snowshoeing and fat bike trails are getting some use as well. Enjoy, Merry Christmas!

Morning
Firsthand: Classic
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
Early Friday most portions of the trail were in fair to good condition. A few leaves and some debris in parts, but overall classic tracks were set and pretty well groomed. Beautiful scenic trails through wooded areas and protected from wind.

Evening
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
I skated at Spooner City Park this evening. The mature hardwoods provided a solid break from the wind and the trails were in good to very good conditions. A few parts of the skate trail have some undulation; however, most of the trails are level and offer good coverage. A classic track has been set and it is about three inches deep. The track appears to have firmed up, but the wind has been sprinkling some dry leaves into the tracks. For the most part, it should provide good to very good stride skiing. There are portions of the 8 kilometers of trail that are lit...enjoy!

Afternoon
Firsthand: Both
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Had a great ski with the Spooner "Rails on Trails" ski club today - conditions were fabulous. The 4+ new inches had been groomed twice and was surprisingly firm. Classic track was full depth and I only saw 3-4 thin spots throughout the 8km loop.

Evening
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Trails Open: All, Rock skis ]
The Spooner area recently picked up 4-6 inches of new snow. Yesterday, seven kilometers of trails were rolled at Spooner City Park; no track was set. The new snow provided good coverage with some soft spots. Rock skis are in order. A couple kilometers are lighted.... enjoy!
