Grooming [ Trails Open: Most, ]
|
Almost all of the passable trails have been packed. Classical tracks have been set on all the south trails, plus the north trails to and around the tower (the West Prairie hasn't been tracked due to drifting). The northeast trails beyond the tower are packed, and tracks will be set tomorrow. Trails down to the two stepping stone bridges are not groomed and should be avoided due to flowing water and/or ice. The tree across the Pine Loop trail has been removed, although tracks are thin in that area.

About 3 miles of trails packed so far: Trails in the woods along the creek have been packed out to the Pine Loop. Prairie trails close to the Interpretive Center and around the pond have been packed and tracked. Grooming will continue Monday. The two stepping stone bridges are not groomed due to flowing water or ice. Tree across the trail in the Pine Loop; will be removed Monday.

Grooming Scheduling [ Trails Open: Most, ]
|
Most of the trails have been packed, but there's not enough snow to set tracks - trails are very thin. Grooming plans: With the predicted snow over the next couple days, we plan to pack and set tracks on the south trails (about five miles) Saturday morning, moving on to the north trails in the afternoon. Ski rental will be available starting at noon on Saturday.
