Afternoon
Firsthand: Classic
[ Trails Open: Most, Good skis ]
The lower Arb appears to have been groomed this morning. I skied in the late afternoon at sunset. All trails have been tracked for classic except the segment in the southeast corner by the Women's League Cabin site and the south boundary. Tracks are somewhat shallow and drifting was occurring in the exposed spots you'd expect. The snow felt like sandpaper because of the -10 temps and the drifted snow. Still, it was great to be back on skis in the Arb!

Skied around the lower arb. No groomed trails, but there were skier-set tracks and conditions were great! Some ice peeking out in the forested spots by the river, but mostly good snow cover and very little debris.

Upper Arb has a freshly groomed skate deck. No classic tracks in the Upper Arb, just skate deck, but classic on the deck is fine, soft in places.

Night
Firsthand: Classic
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
Lots of snow in the Lower Arb. Was previously rolled; lots of snow since. Previous skier-set tracks starting to fill up with new snow. Giving a B ski rating for some low points along the river that are icy and, who knows, may have sand in them. Otherwise plenty of base.
