Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
Groomed this morning. The light snow while grooming turned the lovely couderoy to winter white washed out denim by the end of the run. Nonetheless, the skate deck looks good and the classic tracks as well. Certainly there may(probably?) be some icy areas under the new snow. I advise caution.

Observation
Stoped this afternoon hoping to skate ski from Eagle River side trail head. But unfortunately trail was hard packed, icy and had not been groomed since we got the rain and warm weather. Hoping for some new snow to bring the trail back up to the great shape it has been.

Classic track was well set and fast. Skate lane was groomed with firm deck and icy spots in places that were in the shade along with scattered tree debris. It was a beautiful day to be on the trail!

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
The Three Eagle Trail has been groomed for classic and skate skiing. There are some short sections where pine needles and leaves are poking through, but the majority of the trail is in good shape.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Groomed this morning after very light snow last night. All looks great but I did not see so it may be "slow" as the temps rise.

Nice coverage on the skate deck and tracks were fast as well. I am disappointed to see winter biking on sections of this trail. Signage clearly states that the bikes should not be ridden on groomed trails and yet people didn't respect the rules. Big Bummer.

Skate deck is firm, even, but not icy. Classic tracks are smooth and quick. There is regular wear and some patches of tree debris, mostly small twigs and leaves. Good running today.

Although windy conditions have scattered some tree debris and caused some drifting, the skate lane has been refreshed and new track has been set. Enjoy the scenery and warmer weather.

After skating the trail on Tuesday, Joanie and I returned today to stride the trail. The track was still in very good condition from Tuesday's grooming and the fresh powder that had fallen since then was well compressed in the track, providing great glide. The skating lane had a couple inches of powder on a firm surface. We really enjoyed the rare sunshine today during this mostly cloudy January.
