Skied late afternoon, down Tornado Alley, through most of South Wirth, and out onto Brownie and Cedar Lakes. While nice to get off the man-made snow, definitely a little uneven surface on the south Wirth trails and some debris. Erosion control on some of the hills providing some speed bumps along the way. No snow in the Brownie tunnel. Cedar Lake had some windblown stretches and some thin sections. Skating better than classic as there is a lot of leaf debris in the tracks in south Wirth.

Skied Eloise Butler and parts of the Bog Loops. First time on the natural Wirth Trails in a couple seasons. They are amazing. Coverage was solid in EB with debris being the primary factor. You could probably use your "B" skis if you are good at avoiding obstacles. Careful on the downhill to the Flower Garden parking lot though, the curb is showing and there's not a lot of time to act if you have good speed. Bog was good too, although the uphills seemed to have more exposed.

Getting bored of the manmade course so ventured to the Bog and what was packed of the Lakes (Brownie, East Cedar, and SW Isles). It was a fun adventure with the fresh snow. The Bog was in good shape minus some of the hills. The Lakes were windblown but it's still fun to get out there! Here's to hoping the weather is colder than the forecast and we get to keep this snow.

Eloise Butler, JD Rivers, and Wirth Lake are in great mid-winter condition. The quaking bog side of Wirth Parkway seemed to have a bit more debris and bumps, but still pretty good. Classic track was set, and looked to be in good condition in places, but shallow or grassy in other places.

I skied JD Rivers and across Wirth Lake today. Everything was snow covered, with very good conditions in places, and other places with some tree debris or lots of bumps. The lake was quite nice, and it's hard to tell if you even venture off the rolled path because the rest of the snow is windblown and fast. It looks like the groomers recently did some work to get the path up and down to the lake covered with snow. It was a nice change of pace from the snowmaking loops.

[ Trails Open: Partial, Rock skis ]
Only JD Rivers segment is groomed in South Wirth! Not enough snow to set the classic tracks yet but everything is groomed for skate.
