Afternoon
Firsthand: Classic
[ Bare ground ]
Conditions: Not enough snow to groom.
We entered from the Rainy Lake Visitor Center of Voyageurs National Park. There isn't enough snow to groom anything, but it is a beautiful place for rock skis.

Afternoon
Firsthand: Freestyle Grooming
[ Bare ground ]
Conditions: 8" cover, main section rolled for skating.
Rolled Green, Orange, and Yellow this morning. Ridges are thinly covered, flats are fine. Skied this afternoon and it was surprisingly nice, if a bit soft still. Use rock skis because there are rocks available on the ridge sections. The green has one section of ice/slush that can be avoided.

Grooming
[ B skis ]
Conditions: First 8" of snow will now stick around. Rocks basically covered, flat sections look good.
Rolled Green, Orange, and Yellow using 4-wheeler but there was enough snow to have used the snow machine. Very pretty - finally all white. I broke through ice on the Green but that will freeze tonight. :).
