Grooming
[ B skis ]
Conditions: Overall very good - still some uneven sections but snow coverage is good. 4 to 6 inches of new snow in the past 3 days.
We groomed all sections this morning for skate and classic and opened the newest of our Blue Trail additions. That new Blue section is bumpy and uneven but will come along fine with the next snowfall. The first "Blue Hills" trail is tracked but lots of sticks in the trail. The second hilly section is not open.

Grooming
Conditions: A couple of inches of new snow over the past few days. Classic tracks are OK but rocks showing on ridges, especially on Red Trail. Skate lane is nice.
Rolled the skate lane on all trails except the Blue Hills sections which are still closed.
Blue Trail flat sections are very nice; the hill beyond the shelter on the Blue is still bad - I'd walk that one.

Afternoon
Firsthand: Classic
[ B skis ]
Conditions: Track set on all sections - thin over rocks and ridges. Flats getting level.
Groomed all sections except the Blue Hills for skate and classic on Friday after a couple of inches of snow. Skied Saturday in minus 5 and tracks are pretty good but some rocks showing on the Red and ridges. The Green trail is now leveled out.

Afternoon
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ B skis ]
Conditions: Actually very nice. A few rocks on the ridges. Blue Hill Trail still closed.
Rolled and set corduroy on all trails except Blue Hills yesterday. Skied today and found the newly groomed Blue delightful- but watch out on the first little hill marked "caution" because rocks cannot be seen until it is too late. All the flat sections are good and fast today. Red is also OK but be cautious on hills.

Afternoon
Firsthand: Classic
[ Bare ground ]
Conditions: Not enough snow to groom.
We entered from the Rainy Lake Visitor Center of Voyageurs National Park. There isn't enough snow to groom anything, but it is a beautiful place for rock skis.

Afternoon
Firsthand: Freestyle Grooming
[ Bare ground ]
Conditions: 8" cover, main section rolled for skating.
Rolled Green, Orange, and Yellow this morning. Ridges are thinly covered, flats are fine. Skied this afternoon and it was surprisingly nice, if a bit soft still. Use rock skis because there are rocks available on the ridge sections. The green has one section of ice/slush that can be avoided.

Grooming
[ B skis ]
Conditions: First 8" of snow will now stick around. Rocks basically covered, flat sections look good.
Rolled Green, Orange, and Yellow using 4-wheeler but there was enough snow to have used the snow machine. Very pretty - finally all white. I broke through ice on the Green but that will freeze tonight. :).
