Very good. The manufactured snow is a little granular and 2-4 inches on some hills, but the base is excellent. It's pretty darn good skiing.

Perfect conditions on the entire snowmaking loop this morning. Firm, consistent surface, including climbs and descents. The amazing sunrise was icing on the cake.

Skied around 2 pm. Trails were getting pretty sugary after the morning workout shift. Still fast conditions, but the wind was picking up making it a little uncomfortable during the gusts. Fairly light crowd, no parking problems (except the adults stopping in the middle of the trail...) All in all, a nice ski.

Excellent conditions on the man-made 5K loop this morning! Great for both skating and classical skiing. The uphills were getting a bit sugary by 10am, but overall pretty fast conditions and clean snow! Many thanks for the efforts of the grooming crew at Hyland!

[ Trails Open: Most, B skis ]
I don't know why I avoided Boulder Ridge the day before - it was fine. All the manmade loops were in very good condition. Sugar on the uphills - the downs were not snow plowed to glaze. The flats are holding up well. Nice edging for skate skiing. Looks like some of the classic tracks are getting washed out and destroyed. Hoping for more snow so we can expand out our skiing to other locations. Only ranked it for B skis as there is a little debris on the trail.

Only skied the man made loops and skipped boulder as I just didn't know what the downhill would be. For the rest of the trails ups were a little mushy (sugar) downs were fast and fun and the flats were almost perfect.

Skied the manmade loop around 8:00 this morning. It was in great shape. Good edging. Starting to get a little sugary. Fun to see some of the high school teams out!

Good News: Man made snow loop is a wide corduroy groomed trail. Bad News: It's solid ice. Any dusting of snow that fell during the day was blown off the trail by the 30 MPH wind. Good day to get in the classic tracks and do some double poling.
