Morning
Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
Silver trail was groomed and double tracks were set earlier this morning. Gold and Ski Games trails were just groomed with classic tracks set. The skate deck is getting smoother after each grooming. There is plenty of snow on Ski Games side. The tracks do bottom out occasionally but easily stepped around. World Cup trail has been rolled and is skied in.

Afternoon
Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
Bronze and easy loops groomed this afternoon with classic tracks set. Skate surface very good with only a couple of easily avoidable ski damagers observed. Classic track is variable. Some excellent, some not perfectly formed with crumbly sides and many spots with grass and or dirt showing. Classic skiers should watch where they step but should be able to enjoy the trails. More segments will be groomed tomorrow.

Afternoon
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
Battle Creek was rolled on Saturday morning. As of noon conditions were still very soft. Coverage was good. But base was thin and there were a few thin spots on some of the steepest climbs. I hit at least one rock on the gold course. Should improve once the base is compacted and groomed more. Ski games side was also good except for areas that people had walked on.

Night
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Good skis ]
Very cold last night, skied under the lights and the conditions were good. Trails have been rolled and were powdery on top. All trails under the lights are open and skiable with good skis.

Morning
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Good skis ]
All trails were rolled including ski games. Trails were mostly soft except where skiers have help pack the trails. Not ideal conditions but well worth it.

Morning
Grooming Scheduling
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
All trails were rolled this morning. New snow is very light and fluffy but the base underneath was very firm as of yesterday. Our plan is to groom tomorrow morning including an attempt at setting a shallow track.

Morning
Firsthand: Classic
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
Pretty nice this morning. Trail is just rolled but seems to have good coverage. I classic skied without tracks set but found that the soft snow to ski well. There have been skaters out, I could see where they dug into the soft snow and hit ground. As the snow sets up this should not be a big problem.

Afternoon
Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Rock skis ]
Rolled the entire trail system this morning. Snow density was very good for base building. Compressed down to approximately 1" of base. Cold temps in the next few days should help establish the base. Be careful on the downhills but should be pretty skiable for skating. No classic tracks.

Morning
Firsthand: Classic
[ Trails Open: Most, Rock skis ]
Skied the ski games side of the Battle Creek trails. The trails have been rolled but not tracked - looked like the trails on the main side have been rolled too. The snow is light and fluffy so poles strike the ground. It was fun!
