Everything is pretty firm with some ice underneath. Small amount of leaves and small twigs on the trail that will slow you down unexpectedly. All sections had good tracks and some bare spots in the typical open areas. Overall the trails are in much better conditions than I thought they would be.

Green trail mostly in great condition. There are a couple of uphill stretches where the right hand track is packed down, but otherwise most of the track is great. Couple of chunky ice patches around the southeast corner but still some snow coverage. Light debris in various places but not a problem. Unfortunately the last stretch of trail along the western side back to the Lower Afton Road parking lot is a mess. It looks like someone drove in a ways with a truck, turned around and drove out, totally obliterating the tracks and generally tearing up the trail. You just have to pick your way through that area. Still, conditions otherwise made the outing well worth while. Great skiing!

Great ski in Battle Creek. Trails were smooth, felt like silk. Had a blast! Tracks were in great shape.

These classic trails were in great shape, especially those off the main path. It was one of those perfect days were I felt sorry for people who don't Nordic ski!

With the snow and blowing that happened yesterday trail definitely needs grooming. That being said people have done a good job of finding the tracks and cutting the trail back in. Was wonderful to be skiing in the powder. I used waxless skis and they gripped pretty good in the loose snow.

Snow was fresh 3 inches.a trail was groomed and covered. Stay in the shaded area to avoid the stickiness on bottoms. It appeared that walkers had stayed in the middle and no damage as of then.

Grooves are in good shape because they're made of ice. Tracks are fast, would avoid downhill sections unless you're really skilled. Only one spot with bare ground and leaves on trail slow you down unexpectedly. Hope we get some more snow!

This was the snow we have been waiting for. Classic tracks have been set on all the loops. With all the snow it was a little soft in spite. All in all, it was wonderful.

Classic tracks nicely set throughout this section of Battle Creek. I was the first or second skier out today, and the tracks were quite soft (but no complaining about having gotten a lot of snow! The woods and trails were gorgeous - sun, snow draped over everything. Should be excellent conditions as the snow firms up or has a bit of ski traffic. Thanks groomers!

Did the green loop starting at 9:30 and conditions were good. The right-hand set of tracks were a little broken down but not bad; the left-hand tracks were in good shape. The snow's not deep but didn't really see any bare spots.
