Classic tracks nicely set throughout this section of Battle Creek. I was the first or second skier out today, and the tracks were quite soft (but no complaining about having gotten a lot of snow! The woods and trails were gorgeous - sun, snow draped over everything. Should be excellent conditions as the snow firms up or has a bit of ski traffic. Thanks groomers!

Did the green loop starting at 9:30 and conditions were good. The right-hand set of tracks were a little broken down but not bad; the left-hand tracks were in good shape. The snow's not deep but didn't really see any bare spots.

Skied while the snow was falling yesterday. Tracks were set and overall decent condition with a few exposed spots. Looking forward to going again after last nights snow is regroomed.

I was out by 10:30 and was surprised how good the trail was given how little snow we've had. Some ice crystallization made the track pretty fast in places. There are some small intermittent bare areas to watch for in the southeast section of the Green Loop but otherwise the conditions were good. May not be so great as sun exposure continues through the day.

Must have been there just after trails were groomed, didn't see any other ski tracks. Fresh grooves that are a little soft and down to ice and a little dirt in some areas. Overall the sections I skied have good coverage.

Good coverage overall, few thinner and dirty spots under the trees. Skied all the sections and trail is primo right now.

Evening ski as the full moon was rising. Surprisingly good trails. Only a very few spots that looked iffy, and most people just skied around those.

Classic only on this trail. Two tracks were set over a thin base. I took the B skis. Rock skis would not be a wrong choice. I stayed on the green loop just to get a sampler. Track varied from worn to very good. There are thin spots in the pines and at some junctions. The skied in track with fresh powder ran a brisk speed where I tried it. Barred Owls were calling. I heard at least two calling mid afternoon. I saw two other skiers. It was reasonably sheltered. The track is variable until more snow allow a new cut. Overall, I was thankful to have track to ski in. There are some huge Cottonwood trees along the Green loop. The one hill of any size was good. It was a cold but enjoyable easy tour.
