Great conditions this morning at Wirth. Same 1.7k loop. Classic tracks were firm albeit a bit shallow in areas but no concerns. Skate deck looked great.

Afternoon
Firsthand: Classic
[ Trails Open: Partial, Good skis ]
Tracks were in pretty rough shape and the snow was pretty soft at 11:30 am, but it was still fairly fast. Colder temps should help.

Surprisingly lovely this morning. Enjoyed the sunrise! 1.5 km of blown snow... quite fast, which surprised me.

Arrived at 8:20 am to mint conditions for classic skiing. Used Rex Red Klister, which worked fine. So strange to have balmy weather and still be able to ski. Kudos to the grooming crew!

We got there at 4:30 and every school age kid in the metro was on the snow. I have to say it was one of the funnest skis I have had. So many kids flying around, it was joyous. The snow held up pretty well for all the traffic and the warm 45 degree temps. The hills were mushy, but it was so much fun listening to and maneuvering around kids. pure joy!

Stop 4 of 4: Started skiing just before 11 am, catching the end of the morning "rush hour" (south parking lot was 2/3 full at the start, down to 1/3 by the time we left). Lots of skiers out, but again not too crowded. Nice 1.5K loop, swings out toward the meadow and up the opening climb. Good classic track, but the skate deck was getting soft and a bit slow with the new snow mixed in. Good loop with plenty of cutoffs to offer something for everyone.

The 1.5KM loop is excellent. A little soft snow sugar on uphills from usage. Great snow coverage. Loop provides variety of flats, uphills, and downhills to ski. Very funski!

Lower stadium and the cutoff on the Par 3 golf course are open, for a total distance of about 750 meters. Grooming plans: We are planning on having Jim's Hill and up to Coach's Corner open by Sunday morning, for a total of 1.5K.
