Morning
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Good skis ]
Conditions: Excellent on the snow making loop.
The snowmaking loop was freshly groomed and the classic tracks were almost perfect when I arrived at 10 am Sunday. The snow wasn't really icy at all except for the steepest uphill and the sun solved that in short order. The 3.1 km loop made for a great workout since it's pretty much all up and down. Would be interesting to know the elevation gain per lap.

Eloise Butler was in fantastic shape this early morning (considering our snow draught). I saw the groomers around 8:30 and they did a really nice, gentle job of "de-icing" the loop. There were a few spots of dirt/leave on a few uphills, but all of the downhills were in great shape. Even the curb was not a problem to avoid (stay left). The Erickson loop was also in great shape. The Norm Oakvik loop was a bit icy, but snow coverage was mostly good, especially on the downhills. Wedding Hill descent was just great. As for JD Rivers, Bottineau, and Skyline Trail, I do not believe they were groomed, probably to conserve snow, so they were icy, hard-packed, and are best to avoid. And of course the man-made loop was in excellent shape, even after the races were done. Classic tracks are only available on the man-made loop, FYI.

Morning
Firsthand: Classic
[ Good skis ]
Conditions: Man-made loop only: freshly groomed at 6am, excellent condition.
I hit the man-made loop at 6am expecting icy conditions, but the grooming was excellent. Fast, and hard to get good kick (powergrip blue wasn't working for me), but not icy.

Grooming
[ B skis ]
Conditions: Manmade (hap loop), back forty and skyline trails groomed Thursday morning.
Manmade trail excellent condition - high school meet thurs. afternoon. All other trails thin, icy - steep hills almost bare due to heavy use and poor weather conditions, low areas wet.

Skied Bog and Eloise Butler Wednesday night, more spots to be careful where you put your ski. Still skiable, but if looking to go hard I'd stick to the man-made loop.

The man made loop is all groomed with fresh classic tracks around the whole loop. There is a small area by the tubing hill that is redirected due to falling ice and tree limbs from snowmaking. stay safe and happy skiing!

Conditions: Man-made loop great. Natural snow trails out to Brownie lake getting thin.
The man-made loop was groomed and tracks were set this morning. Please watch for falling snow chunks in a few sections of the trail. With warmer temps coming some of it will be coming down, be careful! We did as much work as we could to remove snow and ice hanging in the trees this morning. We do have the trail slightly diverted in one area until the ice and snow in this area come down. All natural trails were groomed this morning and are still able to be skied. The trails are getting thin however and the lakes have little to no snow on them.
