Doesn't appear the manmade snow trails are groomed every day. Soft and loose 3-4 inches on top of firm base on the Valley. Breezy conditions resulted in fewer on trails.

Nice conditions on the manmade loop today. Well tilled and fairly fast. Good size crowd out enjoying the warm temperatures.

Classic skied today on the man-made. The track was good and fast but abrasive. My hastily applied wide range klister wore off. Skating looked good and not icy like report from yesterday. Parking lots were full.

Classic skied starting at 11 a. m. Just the machine-made snow loop was open. Track was already well used, but good, like a bobsled run. Used Vauhti Super base and Start Base mixed as a binder with Start Black Magic to kick. Worked great! Lots of people skating. Seemed to be plenty of loose stuff to edge on.

Skied around 10 this morning. We only skied the manmade loop. Natural snow trails looked bad. Manmade snow loop had refroze since it was groomed. As a result there were some nasty ice areas. There were some ok areas where it had been regroomed? Most of the trail was wind polished icy corduroy... somewhat tough to get an edge on. I am sure it was difficult to groom after the rain and big freeze. Hopefully, the groomers can work some magic tonight!

Skied the outer loop at Elm Creek just before it got dark. Pretty good coverage though thin. A few bare spots and sticks to watch out for, but overall not bad. Snow was pretty wet, so may get icy overnight.

Skate skiing on the natural snow trails (Lake, Creek, Northern Lights) was surprisingly good this morning. Despite the warm temperatures yesterday and the fact that the trails looked to have a least a day of use since last grooming, the deck was generally mostly level, firm, and debris free. A couple of dirty spots on Creek (including the sharp downhill left hand turn for excitement), but overall quite good. The other notable spot was just entering Creek from Valley (snowmaking loop), where tracks were still visible from some vehicle that drove along the trail, across the bridge, and then turned left on the multi-use trail. No classic tracks seen on any of the natural snow trails, but the usual excellent grooming for skate and classic on Valley. Don't be put off by the start - the natural snow loop is definitely worth it.

Attempted skijoring on the Multi Use just before noon. The trail wasn't groomed but looked passable at the Fernbrook trailhead so the dogs and I set out. A few hundred meters in, packing from foot traffic and classic skiers had lessened, the snow became progressively deeper, the dogs were straining and skating was very difficult. I decided to turn around at the Nature Center road and wait for the trail to be groomed before coming back. Sorry, doggies, next time, we fly! Otherwise, the deep powder was well adhered to the pavement, no risk of contact. Beautiful clear skies, some wind, 20F. Purl Green worked very well, fast downhills.

Good coverage on all trails I went on. No problem on good skis. Slow, not a whole lot of glide. Hats off to the crew, they do a great job out there! Manmade loop: hardly any traffic, excellent conditions as usual. Lots of ribbon still in evening and perfect tracks, albeit the cold snow wasn't the best. Natural snow: Not all the back trails have been groomed yet. Ungroomed looked like they were packed on the prior snow. Lake trail was good. No tracks set.

Stayed on the snowmaking loop and enjoyed the perfect classic tracks. Very comfortable temps but somewhat slow skiing. Only one set of skating tracks on the cord.
