Our track setter broke on Thursday while grooming Anvil Ski Trail, unfortunately we did not get it fixed in time to get out and groom Nicolet North while temps were low. We received about 8 inches of wet snow last week. Today has been in the 50s and the snow is now icy and slushy. Grooming of Nicolet North is done for the season.

Nicolet North trail was groomed this morning. Tracks were set on all trails (Butternut, Pat Shay, and Narrow Gauge). There is a 3 inch packed base, so tracks are shallow. Tracks are especially thin on the west half of Pat Shay Loop due to heavy tree cover. The dry snow hasn't firmed up the best so expect softer conditions.

Nicolet North received 3-4 inches of dry fluffy snow on Sunday. The trail was rolled and combed today. We need more snow to set tracks. There is about a 2 inch base with some bare spots in the thicker hemlock groves. The Eastern half of the Pat Shay loop and Narrow Gauge have better snow cover.
