Notes

This trail system is part of the Hiawatha National Forest and is ranked easy to moderate. It offers four classic loops and to skating loops, providing easy access for beginners, rolling hills for advanced skiers, and steeper slopes for experts. The trailhead is located 7 miles north of Rapid River on US 41.

Grooming operations have ended for this season at RRSKI Trail, With warm temps on and off rain on a thin base groomers can't safely groom ski trails Thanks to all the skiers that skied our Beautiful trails in your Hiawatha National Forest.

Classic Loops A, B, & C are tracked with conditions being Good to Very Good Skate Lanes S1 are flat groomed with a hard deck S2 halfway opened following the groomed trail, flat groomed with a hard deck.

Loop A and parts of Loop B are packed only with no tracks. With very low snow cover snowshoes are a good choice to enjoy your visit to RRSki Trail in the beautiful Hiawatha National Forest.
