Typical spring skiing for sure, some areas deep tracks on classic trail, other areas washed out or exposed bare ground. Had to be vigilant and get out of tracks and stay alert. Mostly, beautiful warm sunny day with still lots of good trail left.

We had a beautiful (slow) ski at Pattison. There were grass and roots sticking through in sunny areas and gravel on the trail on the way in, but it was all avoidable.

I had intel that Pattison would be groomed today so we headed out. The trails were impeccably groomed, thanks to Gervis the groomer, with firm pole plants, solid tracks, and absolutely no debris in them. Some deer enjoyed a frolic in a very small portion of them but other than that they are amazing. Pattison is one of my favorite trails because of the terrain. There is just the right mix of up and down hills, nothing too steep except for one towards the end which was not scary today, and beautiful scenery! I highly recommend heading out there, if you are beyond a beginner skier!
