Lovely sunrise ski in the fresh powder. The slush of yesterday had frozen which made for a nice dry classic ski. Great coverage all around.

I only skied the trails closer to Central Ave (did not cross the RR tracks) because the downhill across the railroad bridge was entirely melted and navigating around it off-trail looked dicey. But, on the east side of the course, things were mostly skiable - just had to take skis off to cross one extended bare spot. And seemed to be only grass under the course, so minimal risk of damage to skis.

So grateful to be skiing natural snow! Thank you so much to the groomers! It was great to see the new northeast loop groomed for the first time after a few years of suggesting we could add that milage; as a result, the course is now a bit longer, which is great! No classic tracks set but the skate deck was lovely.

I'd get there morning to afternoon Saturday. Friday late afternoon there was a bit of grass here and there poking through. The climb up the big hill skirted some dirt and the edge of a paved trail. The little steep hill up the northeast corner was a lot of bare dirt (I went a different way to avoid it). That said, other than soft spots, I had so much fun! Huge thanks to the groomer!

Thank you for grooming! I skied 8k this morning. Trail conditions are what you'd expect with such little snow. With that said, it is so much fun to finally have the opportunity to ski on real snow.

Grooming [ Trails Open: All, ]

We got our snowmobile back and we were able to roll and groom the skate deck for the whole course this evening. Most of the trail looks great, but it is definitely rock ski conditions. There is one small south facing hill that has already lost much of its snow and many other thin spots. But totally skiable. Beware of the downhill on the west side of the bridge, it looked particularly bad for ski bases. We did not set tracks, there is not enough snow.
I should also mention that we have a new loop this year. It starts near the clubhouse on the east side of the course and ends up near the bridge. We don't have signage yet, but it is meant to be skied counter clockwise, so you end up going up (not down) the large hill near the bridge. It adds about 2k of trail. Finally, a huge shout out to the Loppet trail crew for taking the time to get us our snowmobile with everything else they have going on at the moment. Very much appreciated guys!

We're not able to groom because our snowmobile is at Wirth helping out with the World Cup. If that changes we'll be sure to post an update here! Meanwhile, setting your own tracks is A-OK as long as you stay off the greens and tee boxes.

Looked at Columbia before noon. No grooming. No skiers. Maybe dog-walkers was about it.
