Surprisingly good conditions. Skate deck had very few bare or grassy spots. Classic tracks had more holes with grass poking through but it was easy to ski around. Worst spot was at start of trail that goes by the fence & driveway on the way back to the picnic area trail entrance (see pix). BTW With the recently added trails the park board quotes a 4.1 km distance. My Strava is more consistent with 4.1 miles / 6.6 km.

I only skied partway (donated blood on Tuesday). Avoidable grass and debris on first mile starting from driving range on west side. A bit well-used and packed, but gliding was nice. Didn't make it to paved cart trail at base of hill with the bridge, so I don't know if that is poking through.

Thank you to the groomers! The course is rolled and classic tracks were set. I skate skied, the skate deck was soft and slow. Relatively few spots with debris all things considered, easy to navigate around. I used my good skis and it was fine! The classic tracks looked pretty decent too, even if thin in places. Overall great to be able to get out in the neighborhood and ski. There was a train engine idling just north of the bridge which wasn't great for air quality.

Columbia was rolled last night and groomed this morning. The new snow helped out and freshened things up, but it's still thin with some dirt and debris here and there. Use caution near the thin areas and it should be pretty easy to navigate around. I did set tracks on sections around the course, but they are thin and bare in some spots, so use caution there also. It's pretty out there. Enjoy!

Groomed Columbia this morning to smooth out the skate deck. It's pretty thin out there but skiable. Use rock skis but enjoy the skiing that we currently have.

Groomed, looks like a lot of use after. A bit of debris under trees (pine cones, twigs), some grass poking through high spots, avoidable dirt in a couple areas. Mostly just a little bit packed. I avoided the narrow spot by the picnic area and didn't cross the bridge to the clubhouse (east) side.

Columbia was rolled last night and groomed for skate this morning. No tracks were set due to the thin snow. The base is very thin and there are many places where grass and dirt are showing through. However, these patches are mostly avoidable and it is very skiable if you don't mind dinging your skis now and then.

Went out for some old fashion ski fun on the hills! Stayed on the fairways and grass hills, so no rocks etc. Definitely worth it. Looking forward to grooming.
