The tracks are well-set and I think will provide good skiing even if icy in morning. As temps warmed and tracks softened, I had a lot less sticking. Great trail system!

It was the most cars and people I have seen all year at Northwoods. There was a light dusting of new snow in the groomed tracks. The trails have full snow coverage and are not icy. I started to have some problems with sticking on the trails where I was the first skier through the new snow and as it got warmer.

I attempted to ski here on Saturday. Tracks were solid ice and dangerous. Not skiable. I only went in a little ways, so I can't speak to the condition of the rest of the trail.

The snow has held up well on these great trails. Plenty of snow. No water or rocks on the trails. Good skis would be fine but I recommend B skis because of the occasional tree debris. Enjoy!

Perfect grooming and conditions at northwoods today. The connector to Tettegouche trails hadn't been groomed recently but was skiable with skier made tracks.

Absolutely gorgeous today. Light dusting of snow over the tracks set in the deep snow. No debris on the track and beautifully groomed. It was snowing while we were out and just so pretty!

Great conditions- track set well and deep. Freshly groomed and fast. Wanted to ski the 5 K connector to Tettegouche but decided to go to bean lake which has amazing topography then we skied multiple trails back to get in about 12-13 K - there's a huge uphill that seems to never end right before the connector to Tettegouche - but the view at the top
Is amazing and worth the climb!

First time on this trail. Very nice single track with gradual climbs and descents. We were among the first out on new grooming after about 8 inches of snow. No maps were available and the map board is not specific. View Skinnyski trail map before you go. Didn't find any directional signs and no signs at intersections. Easy to get turned around. Travel is clockwise. Worth a trip, especially with new snow.

Skied medium loop (second right after leaving trailhead). Well-groomed with a good base. A fair amount of woody debris on the trail following high winds earlier this week, especially near the beginning. Good conditions overall but icy in spots making the hills fast.
