Grooming Scheduling [ Trails Open: All, ]

Tomahawk ski trails were rolled and groomed by volunteers on Monday. A classic track was set. The skate deck should be set. There is a warming house with a changing room plus porta potty outside. There are a few thin snow spots under pine trees. Free event reminder: The annual luminary snowshoe and ski fun is this Saturday Feb 15 from 5:30-7:30pm. There will be refreshments and a fire pit. Come out and enjoy.

Yay! So excited to "skis" the day on our local trail system for the first time in several years! The groomer did the best with the current situation of little snow that is also very dry. The tracks ranged from ideal - deep and firm and extra-white - to shallow with grass. Skate deck also looked variable. The conditions improve the further you get from the park trailhead. All in all, pretty lovely given the hand mother nature had dealt us this winter!

Two ski grooming passes were made over the entire system yesterday. A classic track was made on the edge. The skate deck was soft but should have firmed up. The classic track was surprisingly decent. It is very thin underneath the pine trees. The warming cabin with changing room is open. There is a porta potty outside. Enjoy.
