Waited for the air temps to rise above freezing to get a little grip with skin skis. Friday's wind blew a fair amount of debris onto some parts of the trail. Plenty of snow and a decent ski. The wildlife tracking was elite though. I was contemplating how many days old the abundant fading moose tracks were and then stopped to examine some new wolf tracks on the Sherry Lake Trail. A cow trotted out of the woods and down the trail for about 1 Km before it veered back in to the woods. Also some critter had dragged a piece of a moose near the parking lot and devoured everything except hair and some connective tissue.

Stoney was packed, groomed and new tracks were set in place. Trail looks good, a few moose tracks but not too bad on the trail itself. Have fun!

Track had been set throughout system, but some motorized equipment wiped out mostly on the furthest out loop. Still an enjoyable ski seeing fresh moose tracks around the first loop. I tried my best cow call, but no bull moose appeared.

Skied the 10k of all three loops: Bunny, Stoney, and Sherry in perfectly groomed shape. Thank you groomer. Sunset and moonrise terrific blessing. Get out there soon, Spring is tapping after next week.

It looks like this trail was groomed once this year. Other than that, the only tracks on the trail were made by moose, and they meander along the trail to browse rather than taking a straight line. One happened to be browsing near the trail when I came by, but it was trotting away by the time I saw it through the brush, so I didn't get a picture. This is always a nice trail to see signs of wildlife. I saw grouse, too (plus several roosting holes in the snow), a lot of snowshoe hare tracks, and one porcupine. No wolf tracks, and almost no deer tracks this time.
