We brought our Northern Kettle Moraine Nordic Storm youth ski team here today per a tip from a coach of another team. This Rails to Trails conversion runs from Bessemer to Ironwood and Bessemer to Ramsey. There are some road crossings. It is groomed and single tracked primarily for classic skiing. The groomed surface was thin (snow on top of asphalt) but holding up well to heavy skiing traffic. No bare spots, but we made some precautionary steps around a few thin spots. The team had a very enjoyable ski/workout.
