The Iron Belle Trail is Michigan’s showcase trail that touches hundreds of municipalities and crosses through 48 different Michigan counties. A flat old railroad bed typically groomed as multi-use trail from Ironwood to Ramsay (east of Bessemer).

[ Trails Open: Most, Good skis ]
Beautiful skiing on the Iron Belle Trail. Grooming from the top of the hill in Ramsay to CC road near Walmart. Quite soft tracks, about half an inch to no powder in the tracks. Great kick with skins, poor glide.

Iron Belle from Bessemer to Country Club Rd still had a solid track as of this afternoon. Icy under the trees, has a little powder blown in in the open. I double poled it, but you could probably kick a lot of it. Take em off for the four road crossings.

Great tracks between Walmart and Ramsey. I used fishscales with the warmer temps. Great coverage. Good skis could be used if removed by road crossings.
