Afternoon
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
The skate deck was narrow, too soft, irregular/ lumpy. I broke through the surface repeatedly, sinking in several inches. Skied the East and West loop trails. Both were pockmarked by pedestrian traffic which presumably occurred prior to yesterday's grooming. The foot fall holes left by hikers were where my skis broke through the surface of the skate deck. Go elsewhere to skate ski.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
We received 2-3 inches of fluffy snow yesterday. All trails were groomed today. We set track on East, West and Military trails. Unfortunately, our track setter had some electrical issues and we were unable to lift the tracks on hills. The entirety of those trails are tracked. The packed base is 3-4 inches so the tracks are shallow. Lake Loop, Ninemile, and Devil's run have been groomed with no tracks set. The snow is packing well with some soft spots.

We received 4 inches of dry fluffy snow on Sunday. All trails at Anvil were rolled and combed. The packed base is 2 inches. Hopefully cold temperatures will set the deck well.
