Observation Scheduling
[ Trails: Closed, Rock skis ]
We received 3/4" of rain last night which damaged the ski trails so we have decided to close the ski trails until further notice. Do your snow dances.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: Most, B skis ]
The trail crew got out and groomed up most of the interior ski trails Wednesday night - and they are skiing pretty great! The skate decks in particular are looking pretty nice. Some thin spots and rocks here and there. Get out there and enjoy it!

Another great day at Winter Park. Inner trails are in great shape, nice and fast today. Used my B skis (just to be safe) but good skis can certainly be used. Big shout out to the staff at MWP for keeping it all going this week!

Most of the non-expert trail are very good. Stay off Nutcracker. Tracks are nonexistant or very shallow.

Skied this morning and into the afternoon. Trails were in great shape, though I stayed on the interior trails for the most part. Fun day for sure!

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
Groomers were able to get out at night and refresh the skate deck and re-set new classic tracks around the Cookie Loop: Silver Strider, portions of XC Express, and Nepco's Cruise. Long trails are pretty uneven and thin, we recommend sticking to the interior trails. Most interior trails are skiing very well right now and have pretty good coverage with a few thin spots and rocks here or there. Expect classic tracks to be shallow. Happy Eve of Christmas Eve!

Trail was in good shape considering the low snowfall. Good coverage on 90 percent plus, with the occasional rock and or forest litter to contend with. Stayed primarily on flatter terrain, but still used rock skis. Surface was hard, bumpy, some skidding but fairly fast and still very enjoyable. Not much in the way of a classic track.

Good skate ski on Tornado Alley, Yukon, Wolf Track out to cabin, Steeplechase and Nepcos. Some thin areas under pines mostly on Wolf Track and thin cut brush sticking up on sections of Wolf Track. River Run was rolled, not groomed. Lake Marie and black trails were closed.

First time for tracks at Winter Park this year. With a solid ice base there were elements of shallowness and squirrelly squiggles, but overall a satisfying experience.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
With the 3.5" of snow we received yesterday, we can open the ski trails again! Even better, the grooming team set the first classic tracks of the year. All interior trails that have been groomed have tracks. Trail depth is still a little variable and there may still be a rock or two around, but the trails are looking very nice right now!
