Grooming
[ Trails: Closed, Rock skis ]
Ski trails remain closed due to firm and fast trail conditions. With no new snowfall yet, we have made the tough decision to keep the ski trails closed today. Safety of our guests is our number one priority. Grooming plans: Groomers will plan to be out this evening in the hopes of getting the trails opened up for tomorrow! Thank you for your patience and understanding!

Observation
[ Trails: Closed, Rock skis ]
The grooming team had a chance to inspect the trails and have come up with a plan for the next few days. The ski trails will remain temporarily closed today and tomorrow (Dec 18). However, the chalet and snowshoe trails will stay open. Cross your fingers for more snow!

Observation Scheduling
[ Trails: Closed, Rock skis ]
Ski trails will be temporarily closed today due to warm conditions. Unfortunately, Mother Nature is not cooperating with us this week! Yesterday's warm temperatures have impacted the ski trails making things very slippery. We will make a plan for the next few days and update you all as soon as possible.

Morning
Firsthand: Freestyle Secondhand
[ Trails Open: Most, Good skis ]
Skied this morning into afternoon. Trails are in great condition for intermediate to advanced skiers. Deck is firm and snow was fast. A little bumpy in spots but great snow overall! Skied mostly interior trails so I'm not sure how the outer trails are but from what I heard in the Chalet, they sounded great. I used my B skis and left my brand new (and unused) race skis in the car, but I would have been fine with my good skis.

Afternoon
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Trails Open: Most, B skis ]
If you're wanting to know if conditions are worth the drive to Minocqua, the answer is yes for skating. There was light snow all afternoon which accumulated enough to add to the base. There is no classic track yet but the skate lanes were good. On my first day out this season, I mostly skied the inner green trails.

Morning
Grooming
[ Trails Open: Most, Rock skis ]
Our trails have survived the brief warm up over the last few days. In order to protect the trail base, the grooming crew has decided not to re-groom the ski trails until we get some more fresh snow. Even without grooming, the trails should ski nice for skate or classic with good edge control and about 1/4" of fluffy snow on top. Please note there are no classic tracks set yet.

Afternoon
Grooming
[ Trails Open: Most, B skis ]
Good news to report from our grooming crew! They took the Ginzu drag out on a portion of the interior trails today with great results! But, there's not quite enough snow to set classic tracks yet. Expect trails to be soft and thin in spots with some rocks. Rock/B ski conditions.
Grooming plans: Groomers will be out again tomorrow during the day to finish flat grooming the rest of the interior trails. The chalet will officially be open starting December 6th.

Morning
Grooming
[ Trails Open: Partial, Rock skis ]
We have about 3.5" of snow on the ground and groomers have begun rolling and packing in the interior ski trails! We are still allowing hiking or biking on the ski trails until further notice. If you do venture out on skis, please know that these are very early season conditions with rocks, roots, and thin spots. So, ski at your own risk! The chalet is not open regular hours yet, so visitors may access the trails from the parking lot outside the main gate.
