Morning
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Trails Open: All, Rock skis ]
Skiing is possible, but not recommended. There is an icy base with some bare spots. I skied the Alternate Trail this morning and only a couple of portages were necessary.

Morning
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Trails Open: All, Rock skis ]
I skied this morning and found some variable spring conditions (pretty good when I skied), along with growing bare and thin spots. Many areas still have great coverage. Classic tracks are still usable. Grooming is suspended.

Afternoon
Firsthand: Classic
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
It has been a few years since I last skied at Timberland. The hills are a challenge. Classic tracks were generally solid with some infrequent short patches of dirt/leaves churned up by the grooming equipment. Some leaves blown into tracks. Skate deck was undulating and uneven with more frequent patches of dirt/leaves churned up by grooming. The patches are generally avoidable by going around.

Most of the trail system was groomed again today. Expect mostly good conditions for both classic and skating. You will continue to see some avoidable dirty and/or thin spots.

Afternoon
Firsthand: Classic
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
Skied some short loops and enjoyed it! The trails are groomed, some have the fluffy snow on top still, others fully groomed after the new snow. There is a bit of dirt showing in very few places, one could avoid it pretty easily but you may want B skis.

Afternoon
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
We received about 5" of fluffy snow last night. Grooming was in progress most of the day and all trails are now groomed for skating and classic. There were a lot of people skiing today and I found good conditions. With the thin base, there are still some leaves and debris in places. This snow is powdery even after grooming but it was surprisingly fast and fun.

Firsthand: Freestyle

I can't call it perfect, but it's definitely enjoyable skiing and the best we've had in a very long time. Some sections are excellent skiing while others have avoidable thin spots. The entire trail system is groomed and tracked.

We are blessed to finally have some snow to work with, it's been a long time in coming. All trails are groomed except Odden's Ridge Run and Corkscrew, with plans to open those up tomorrow. We are grooming full width with a skate deck and classic tracks.
