Observation Scheduling
[ Trails: Closed ]
All ski, snowshoe and bike trails are closed at Nine Mile. Due to the recent weather and low snow conditions, we have transitioned into preservation mode and trying to save the little snow left on the trails. Please keep off the trails to allow for minimal damage and a better chance of opening with more snow. Thank you.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: Most, Rock skis ]
Nine Mile opened to ski and snowshoe today, along with fat tire biking on Monday. Trail conditions are average at best with a minimal base of 2". The lighted loop, Y and Leo's are classic tracked, with the track being poor to fair in areas. The 6k, 10k and 20k are currently only combed and also fair to poor depending on the area. The alps are rolled only. Overall, the skate deck is in ok condition with some bare spots that should be navigable. The classic tracks we have been able to lay also are subject to bare spots. With grooming operations and the low snow base, there are areas of debris in the trails.

Grooming Scheduling
[ Trails: Closed, B skis ]
Nine Mile Trails remain closed at this time. We've received some snow and have packed the trails and been able to comb some. We continue to work on prepping the trails. Fat tire biking will open to the public on Monday. The chalet will be open from 9 am to 3 pm. We are targeting Wednesday or Thursday (Jan 17 or 18) as the date to open all trails at Nine Mile. This will depend on the cleanup of some trees that came down in the high winds, being able to prep the trails to where they can be opened and hopefully through the arctic temps.

Observation
[ Trails: Closed, Bare ground ]
Trails have not been rolled as we don't have enough snow. We're hoping for enough snow soon so that we can start grooming. Fat tire season will open starting Jan 15 8-3 daily. No snowshoeing or skiing at this time.
