Only skied the lighted loop. It was freshly groomed. Excellent tracks. The skate deck was a little soft. Everything was excellent!

[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
Skied the lighted loop twice tonight and it was great. Pretty sleek, flat and fast. Basically no edge grabbing and rode the tracks like fast rails at times. Skate deck is good. I would use good skis but some people are pretty cautious so I recommend stick to B skis overall until we get some fresh snow again.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
Trails are in fair condition. We have a base of 1"-2". Trails are a bit hard. Skate lanes are in good shape and the classic tracks are ok. There are areas of dirt in the classic tracks where there simply isn't enough snow. Grooming daily.

Mostly really good. Deep tracks. Avoid “J” if possible. Take “S” if you want to do the 20 K loop. No track on the alps.

Skied all trails except “S”. Most were really good with deep tracks. “ R” had some rough spots with one bare hill. Recommend using the bypass, which is really good.

I stopped at this beautiful trail near Wausau on my way back to Mpls after being in Michigan. 13 degrees. Well groom and marked trails. I’d like to visit again and try all 30 km of trail. Skied 11km. Beautiful Jack pine groves.

Very much worth the drive from Madison. Did the 20K loop and then another 10, all classic. Some spots with grass and sticks poking through the tracks, but are easy to avoid. Skate deck in real solid shape.

Afternoon
Firsthand: Both
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
Deep tracks and and a great skate deck. Trees had lots of snow in them. R had one bare hill on it but the bypass around it was good. R had a few rough spots. The Alps were in excellent condition but not tracked. Everything else had tracks.

Great conditions at Nine Mile. Full coverage, great deep tracks and less then one percent grass showing anywhere. No problems at all with good skis. Skate deck in a few spots was slightly soft but other than that great conditions on cold dry snow, hooray no more brown.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: Most, B skis ]
Nine Mile opens today with a 2"+ base on most of the system. Low snow conditions in the pines and sporadically throughout the rest of the system. Most of the system was groomed following yesterday's snow with classic tracks set on the lit loop. Grooming plans: Based on the forecast we will be grooming again tomorrow morning.
