Great surprise 3-4 inches of lake effect snow overnight. We took both Pisten Bullies out and a single track groomer and groomed 87 km of trails this morning. At 20 degrees they set well and with sun they skied very nicely. I don't think conditions could get much better. We plan to regroom again in the morning.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
We have been daily grooming. Today snowcross and pig heart groomed 67 km including setting new classic tracks. Conditions were reported the last 2 days as the best in 2 years! The wind did blow in snow during and after our 4 hour groom cycle but most of the trails groomed were wooded and ok. Grooming plans: Tomorrow we have Crasher joining the groom team so 3 of us will groom in the snow that fell and blew in the trails. We have been running and grooming with both Pisten Bullies but we are being conservative and are using light equipment tomorrow.

What a great weekend of skiing, snow globe Saturday conditions with 83 km groomed and sunny and 24 degrees today with the new snow groomed on 92 km of trails. Both Pisten Bullies were out grooming this morning along with three smaller groomers. The trails are in mint condition and classic tracks are as good as it gets. Skiers were very happy with conditions. Grooming plans: Tomorrow wully bully and pig heart are headed out for touch up grooming in the morning. We are not resetting the classics, they are skiing very well.

It was a bit warmer, so I put in a big day on the skate skis. Skied pretty much all the skate trails, and had "hero" conditions. Got on Windy Ridge and the dog trails for the first time this season... Was loving the technical turns with perfect grooming.

Morning grooming covered by newly fallen snow. The snow continued throughout the day. Good skiing in a snow globe... Lots of folks out enjoying the snow.

All trails were groomed really nice this morning. I got in 40k of skate skiing and 10k of classic, and the conditions were outstanding. Snow falling all day, but not too much to cause any problems. Race skis are completely safe to use. Thanks ABR groomers!

Excellent tracks today. The last 36 hours brought us enough snow for the Piston Bully to get out again this morning. As far as I can tell you can use your best skis on both combi and classic-only trails.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
What a nice surprise, lake effect snow all day long! Skiers enjoyed the firm base under the 4-6 inches of snow that fell on today's morning grooming! We groomed most of the combi trails this morning and retracked. Grooming plans: We plan to have Pig Heart groom with the bigger Pisten Bully on all of "old ABR" early in the morning. Crasher and Black Smith will groom the Highlands and Ridge Runner (not sure yet if Ridge Runner will be classic or skate). After 9 am coffee break we will conquer some of the classic only trails, not sure if we make it to Puumala trails and wolf tracks.

Six inches overnight made good skiing even better. Snow still coming down after morning's grooming made for nice, soft skiing today. I would say it's safe to use your good skis on the combi trails, but it might be best to stick with B skis on the classic-only trails a little longer.
