The groomers have done a wonderful job with maintaining this trail system. We skied the picnic loop and enjoyed the challenge, happy to have real snow to ski on after only having access to manmade snow on the Cities. Get out there!

Skied (classic) Onion River Rd yesterday afternoon and this morning. Lots of snow (probably 2-3" on Sunday night and 3" on Tuesday morning) on ungroomed or tracked trails. This morning I used skier made tracks on the road itself but the tracks leading from trailhead west were too snowy.

From Britton Peak classic skied the big loop out via Hogback to Picnic, then East Oberg, and connector to Homestead and reverse Hogback. There was 3-4 inches of fresh ungroomed powder on all the trails I skied. I broke the classic track to the end of Picnic loop so going was slow. But the rest of loop, classic skiers had packed the track and skiing was much smoother and faster. Glad I was on classic skis as the skaters seemed to be working pretty hard in the soft snow. However there was a firm deck underneath and skiing was great on blue wax. It is beautiful and a light snow continued to fall most all afternoon. Glad the low snow conditions seem to be over for the season.

Fun, snowy, long ski at Sugarbush today. About 2-3" of fluffy snow on top of a firm skate deck. We skate skied Picnic loop clockwise and it was a slow, beautiful slog with the fresh snow. Onion River Road was groomed when we got there and that is in excellent condition. Coverage is good everywhere, just slow with the fresh snow. First 2 photos are from the Picnic Loop, the last two from Onion River Road. Overall, love skiing at Sugarbush!

Broke trail from Oberg trailhead early this morning. Groomer had been out on Onion River Rd starting the process of grooming in the 2-3 inches of fluff that fell overnight. Beautiful morning in a quiet forest.

Classic skied 8K of the onion river trail this morning. Freshly groomed and in very good condition The temperature was low teens with very little wind. The fresh snow from overnight was a welcomed addition to the base.

We started our ski from the Britton Peak trailhead. The snow was in great shape along with skate deck conditions. Loved this system. Despite the wicked cold temps, we were sheltered away from the wind and the sun came out for a brief period. Good skis if you are careful, B skis if you are not. Cannot wait to go back! Thank you to the groomers for a wonderful job with the snowfall last weekend.

Skied classic the first two loops (to E I think) from Britton Peak trailhead. Some debris early on in the tracks. Skate deck had some dirt mixed in in spots.

From the Britton Peak trailhead, I skied out to Hogback, Picnic, East Oberg, Connector, Homestead and back. New grooming overnight on everything but Picnic improved conditions considerably and Picnic really didn't need new grooming. Conditions were great on most trails although the big downhills on East Oberg were bumpy with some ice and water berms and ground up dirt to be avoided. Homestead classic track was dramatically improved with all the old divots corrected. But the track is still soft and breakthroughs were still happening although not as frequently. I again mostly stayed on the skate deck which was firm throughout. Happy to get a long ski in!

Classic skied Moose Fence trails, Upland and Maple Loops and down to Six mile Creek. Good tracks, no problems with debris. Skate lane looked good too. About a half inch dusting of snow on top.
