Good condition close on the lighted loops and inner loops. The outer loops varied with thin bases, ok coverage, and some dirt to watch out for. Good tracks, coverage, and skiing on inner loops!

I skied the red and two inner loops of the blue at the Rock. The skate deck is firm, has little to no debris and good for 95 % of the trail system. The 5 inches of wet snow really helped. There are some thin areas and icy spots, but easily avoidable. I would say B skis because of a few patches. The tracts were set on most of the red and blue but they looked thin and worn. My rating would be fair.

Not a lot of snow but just enough to have nice classic tracks almost everywhere. B skis due to risk of hitting ice and debris. Skate deck was somewhat uneven and bumpy at places but good skis can be taken. Grooming from today or yesterday depending on sections, in good shape everywhere.

Good skiing at Standing Rocks today. All trails were groomed and tracks were set. Some thin stretches in some areas so would recommend B skis. Other than those spots the trails were in very good condition and fast.

I skated the Green, Red, and all 3 inner Blue loops. Good conditions overall. A little soft, but the downhills were plenty fast. Scattered small patches of glare ice, all avoidable.

Skied the Red and the Green loop at noon. The skate deck has been tilled/groomed this morning but not tracked. Those looked worn and in poor condition. The green skate deck was fine, the red was decent but had icy areas, very thin areas and some gouging in the middle of the deck. Caution; there are two bare spots on the far western section of the red(3.5K)/blue(5.5K) loop. I skied around the first one and walked through the second. The trail conditions sign in the lodge was accurate, B skis for sure. The blue inner loops looked good for skating.

Skating is generally good on the green and red trails. Groomed this weekend, coverage is thin but the deck is smooth and fast. Widely scattered icy spots and a little organic debris, mostly avoidable. No complaints from me - with good edge and good control, the red loop was so much fun I skied it twice. I skated two of the inside blue loops where there was an inch of ungroomed snow on top of a groomed base - slower but skiable.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Rock skis ]
The trails are groomed for skate skiing no track was set. Conditions are fair to poor with debris in the trails. FTB trails are icy and require studded tires.

Coverage was good and deck was firm in the morning before the warm up. Track was well set. B skis for pine needles. Skied all trails and only saw a very few snow spots with color/dirt.

I skied the Green and Red loops, and both the skate deck and tracks are in good condition. I said B skis only because of pine needle/cone debris in the pine forest areas and some wind blown twigs and leaves in some spots. Otherwise mid winter conditions and plenty of snow. Both the historic downhill lodge and the outdoor recreation center are now open and staffed.
