Conditions were mostly good at Washburn. More than 90% of the trail has full coverage still with a firm deck. There were only a few patches of gray ice and the new snow slowed things done just a touch so that it was pretty fun to skate. There were however some sketchy bare spots on South facing hills. The worst spots were the downhill after Herringbone Hill, and hills leading to and from the Washburn Lake Parking lot. There was another bad spot on lollipop loop before the loop. Conditions were generally pretty good near Perch Lake. Would not recommend skiing from Washburn Lake trailhead due bare spots in both directions from this trailhead.

Nice crusty texture out there this morning! Minimal ice or ruts and enjoyable skiing. Some bare patches opening up - look before you leap on the downhills. Didn't have to take my skis off, but a bit patchy on the approach to the south parking lot off Washburn Rd. Get out early! Best to turn around if you're sinking in or leaving ruts as that will make it very difficult for folks to ski after you. Was starting to soften around 10am today.

Fairly soft skating at Washburn today; trails were groomed yesterday, but mostly ungroomed today after 1-2" of new snow overnight. Southern trails were very soft, conditions on most of the Northern loops were better. Classic tracks looked good throughout and had been well skied in. Used good skis, but there was one spot with dirt, and I tossed a few small rocks off the trail; wouldn't rule out the possibility of a sneaky rock out there.

Great morning on trails, enjoyed the tracked, rolled classical only segment. Trails in fine shape, looked like many had enjoyed them. Appreciated the warm shelter.

Managed to get out just after the groomer wrapped up a pass. Plenty of snow on the ground and beautiful conditions. Classic tracks in the back section that had been previously closed were fairly soft, but I expect they'll firm up eventually. Can't wait to get out to this area again!

Was great to be able to ski all the trails at this beautiful and Hilly Park. Can do 10 mile loops without doing a loop twice. Heated-lodge and fresh corduroy. Beautiful bluebird day to ski. Climbing Herringbone hill was off camber but everything else was excellent.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Lots of new snow, 5" or more. The skate deck has been refreshed and new classic tracks laid down. Despite the windy conditions that brought down lots of twigs and branches from last Thursday, the trails are in good condition. The deck and tracks should firm up nicely, and provide skiers some fun. Special note: the trail segment that was closed, is now open.

Exceeded expectations! 95% of the tracks were clean and fun, sticks and grass and thin areas needed to be avoided on the other 5%. Great terrain. Nice lodge. Worth skiing. Carpe Skiem!

Excellent grooming, no other skiers. Some small patches of dirt, but easily avoidable in a beautiful woods.

Pleasantly surprised, but overall conditions are just fair. It appears as though it's been several days since it's been groomed, and there has been a good amount of skate and classic traffic on the segments I skied. Conditions are pretty typical of low snow. Some organic debris, and a few dirt clumps, and the occasional rock. That being said, there were many segments that were in great shape and enjoyable to ski. Certainly skiable conditions, but as I said earlier, fair.
