13F. Calm and sunny. Old-school classic trail. Two sets of tracks side by side. The overlook loop is in the best condition with the deepest tracks and least amount of leaves and grass. Watch out for rocks. The oak ridge and river view trails have a lot of nice track and a lot of track with oak leaves. Drive past the parking lot into the campground to find the start of the ski trail. The system is groomed to ski in one direction. Take the first right you reach after starting. I would suggest beginners stay on the overlook loop. The oak ridge loop has some tight corners. The river view loop has a couple of challenging long, hills.

Wow! Hug that groomer! Amazing to be second person on super firm tracks! Tracks were deep, mostly debris free and fast for the 5F air temp (snow temp was colder since it fell way below zero again last night). Had two deer cross in front of me on a downhill and saw tracks in other places too, including a big wolf print. Very well worth the drive from literally anywhere to experience this serene trail through the woods!
