Notes

The Piedmont trail has 5k of trail for beginning and intermediate skiers. This double-tracked trail leads you through both aspen, birch, and hardwood forest. Handmade signs made by a skier in the Piedmont neighborhood and a beautiful overlook of the St. Louis River Valley are the unique features of this trail.

The conditions are perfect today for a Christmas ski. No tracks are set but the snow was perfect for just enough grip.

Fun morning ski! Piedmont was rolled. There were no consistent tracks, but the base was firm and trails nicely covered.

Piedmont remains ungroomed, bumpy and slick, with more hikers and dogs than skiers. Some thin but serviceable skier-made classic tracks further into the trails. Still a fun early season ski on fishscales.
