Excellent conditions, everything perfectly groomed (that we skied on anyway). Monday thru Wednesday skied Logging Camp north, and east of Flour Lake; North-South Link across Flour Lake; small part of Red Pine (eastern outlet); Deer Mouse; Moose Pasture; Beaver Dam; Poplar Creek; and Cabin Loop. Snow is pristine, temps perfect.

We received just shy of 3" of new snow. With a larger snowfall over good base, we were able to move quite a bit of snow over known rocks and thin spots, as well as do quite a bit of additional leveling. Everything has been groomed fresh again as of this morning. Fantastic skiing out there right now. The lake crossings are still blowing in by mid-day but we'll continue to groom them daily to keep them as fresh as possible. The rest of the trails are sheltered, and with calmer winds, they should hold up very well.

Yes, bring your best skis. 2-3 in of fresh last night, snow showers most of the day. Classic loop on the skins, perfect for groomed section, skiing in the 2-3 inches ahead of the groomer and following where others claimed it ahead me. Looped through BWCA section as well, always skier groomed there. It's like winter here.

Magnificent skiing up the Gunflint Trail this weekend! They got 6-8" a week or so ago, and 3" this weekend. All the trails I skied were in good to excellent condition, although my ski bottoms did get nicked a couple of times, so I'd recommend B skis. Both lodges are grooming almost daily and now that the weather is warming and the snow is getting faster, the conditions are excellent.

We groomed everything on the north and south side of Flour again this morning. All the trails groomed up very nice. In cold temps, the woods should supply good shelter from any wind. Lake crossings are being groomed every morning but are blowing in by around noon. Trails in the woods have been mostly unaffected by windblown snow. Throw a couple extra layers of clothing on for this weekend and you'll find great trail conditions out there!

Magnificent XC classic skiing at Golden Eagle Sunday thru Thursday. Every trail in this system is in perfect condition and Golden Eagle (Bearskin too) appears determined to keep them that way. Skate looked as good as classic.

More snow last night so we groomed everything fresh again this morning. Trails are looking great! Everything is open, in great shape, and skiable with good skis.

Snow measurements are in, and on our snowboard we tallied 6.25" of new snow thus far. We were out early this morning and groomed everything again so all trails are fresh and ready to go. Trails groomed up beautifully, and with the cooler temperatures, the skate deck set up nice and solid. Moose Ridge is open again and ready for visitors! The skijoring trail is also back in. This is the kind of winter we've always remembered!
