I have had the privilege of skiing here for forty years, and today was exceptional. Groomed this morning, with the new, bigger machine, all the trails were (just barely) perfect. With it's 6-5-4-3km concentric circle design, this course has always appealed to me, as someone who values distance over speed. And at less than a mile from the Lakeland Metro area, the words "immediate gratification" come to mind. Edges of tracks were crisp and cold, the new machine is wide enough to put a small "skate deck" on one side, and, ironically, the recent logging has opened up a tremendous view of Carroll Lake! Well worth an afternoon.

Groomed and tracked and an inch of new snow overnight helped. Groomers have done a good job with still minimum amount of snow, thank you.

All loops have been packed/rolled. The snow worked up nicely, but expect a thin base and early season conditions. Since the trails are not tracked yet, people can walk, hike or snowshoe on it.
