Discovered a new gem today! Absolutely fantastic conditions on this 8.5 K out and back. This flat track meanders thru the woods as well over several wetlands via 3 bridges. Beautiful. Well groomed. Carpe Skiem!

Nice skate skiing. The skate lane was recently groomed, having a 2 to 3 inch compacted base except for a short section northwest of Mud Creek bridge that was thinner. Classic tracks were ok in most places with some easily avoidable bad spots underneath a few pines trees.

Three Eagle was in good shape for both skate and classic. There were a few thin spots in the tracks to hop around and a fair number of oak leaves and pine needles but overall surprisingly nice conditions for the limited amount of snow. Conditions were somewhat better on the West side and a little thinner on the East end.

Given where we have been, trails were outstanding for skaters. Tracks for classical had some rough spots - just not enough snow. The deck was a bit soft but not overly. Fun to get out there.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
Groomed this morning at zero degrees. 4+ inches of new pretty light snow. Set track on the way back with mixed results. Some rough spots but some nice smooth ones too. Just be aware while in those tracks that you should look ahead to consider jumping out for a bit if you see leaves or bare ground.

Wow, the groomers worked miracles with the 2-3 inches of snow we got! Great skating decks and tracks were good. A few bare spots but mostly good coverage. The tracks were pretty deep for the little they had to work with. Skied from Sundstein trailhead. WooooHooooo!

Trail in great shape. Tracks in very good shape and looks good for skate skiers as well. Someone walked on part of the deck for the skate skiers. Thank you Jimmy, nice job making a little snow work for many happy skiers.
