Skate skied Thunderer, Rajala, and Sunset Rip trails. They've held up well over the last week and a half, having 3/4" of loose snow over that which was packed by groomer and skiers. The classic tracks looked good over these sections, too. Temp at around 10 F afforded pretty good glide with Swix F4 universal rub on wax.

We groomed all trails on the system today. Classic track is a mixed bag with some really good and some really bad. Skate lane is a little better, but still the base is pretty thin. I would stay off Snag and Long Lake for now. Better conditions will be on the Thunder, East, Rajala and Sunset trails. We will not groom again until we receive more snow.

We rolled the 3-4 inches of new snow on Saturday and Sunday. I skied a portion of the trails this morning. It's a very thin base and still very uneven. No classic tracks yet. That said, it's skiing in the woods. I'm not sure skating is the way to go right now due to the thin base, but waxless classic was not bad this morning. Be careful on the downhills as there may be surprises. You might want to stay off of Long Lake Loop until we get more snow. It is pretty rutted up from our mowing this Fall and will need a lot more snow. Grooming plans: More snow in the forecast and will groom if we get a couple of more inches to work with. If we are lucky maybe classic tracks by the weekend.
