Pioneer Creek Trails run through the scenic Vilas County Forest. Trail location is in the Conover Town Park, 1/4 mile east of U.S. 45 on the south side of County Hwy K. Amenities include a heated restroom.

All trails were groomed today. I had set a track but expect to jump out in thin areas. Overall trails are looking good with thin cover scattered throughout the system. Things are setting up nicely, enjoy the weekend!

Firsthand: Freestyle 
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
Very good skate this afternoon. A cold night rose to 17F, 20mph wind... but snow was quite fast. Bear Trail was level, firm and wide. Not much classic track to speak of, not enough depth. Easy to avoid any debris and dirt on skate deck. Even the southern trails, Bobcat et al were skiable, a little lumpy. I used B skis, I think good skis would have been safe with care.
